Game Mechanics- Pit crew placement/Pit-crew slowdown of vehicle

Currently when out of fuel and trying to get into pits there is a high chance of hitting pit crew on some maps; when out of fuel it is near on impossible to get into some spots and is very hard overall. I think placing the pit crew in a line out of the way & then they run around the car (similar to real life) would solve this issue without becoming a major annoyance to the player.

Alternatively forcing a minimum spacing between pit-crews in map editor could also solve this issue
